Coaching and Mentoring

I started teaching design my first year out of university—at the very same university I graduated from. From that moment on, I knew that developing talent would always be a part of my career. The best talent is grown from within, and building employer brand through coaching and training is critical for attracting and retaining top talent. I mentor in my personal time, guiding designers in skill-building and career pathing, and helping non-designers brand themselves for employment opportunities or career changes.

Building Resilience and an Innovation Mindset

The best designers aren’t just problem solvers—they’re resilient, adaptable, and innovative thinkers. I focus on coaching designers to navigate uncertainty, think critically, and embrace change as a constant. Challenges aren’t obstacles; they’re opportunities to grow, iterate, and create better outcomes. Resilient designers don’t just survive industry shifts; they lead them.

Clear Career Paths and Ownership

Every designer should have a clear path forward, and I ensure that mentorship is tied to real growth. I believe in:

  • Defined Career Paths – Setting clear progression opportunities, from junior to senior roles and beyond.
  • Continuous Feedback Loops – Creating a culture where constructive feedback is an enabler, not a blocker.
  • Ownership of Growth – Giving designers the autonomy and resources to take charge of their development.

I believe that investing in people is the most impactful long-term strategy. A great team isn’t just a collection of talented individuals—it’s a group of people who push each other to be better, take ownership of their careers, and build something meaningful together.

One of my superpowers is hiring the right people at the right time and retaining them throughout my tenure. Talent isn’t just about skills—it’s about potential, adaptability, and the ability to grow. My focus is on creating an environment where people can develop, contribute meaningfully, and build fulfilling careers.

I build teams that get sh** done.

No fluff, no micromanagement—just clear vision, strong collaboration, and a focus on results. I believe in giving people autonomy while holding them accountable, ensuring that design, product, and business objectives align seamlessly. Good leadership is about creating momentum, not roadblocks.

Here’s a few highlights from the past few years. Accomplishment for me isn’t score-keeping, but a record or proof of an effective practice actively participating in an outcome driven ecosystem.

  • Increased Revenue and Conversion Rates – Optimized user experience directly impacting business performance, leading to double-digit percentage growth in conversions for a global marketing B2B SaaS platform.

  • Higher Customer Retention & Satisfaction – Implemented UX improvements that contributed to a measurable increase in user engagement and customer satisfaction scores by optimizing user interface, focused on workflows and outcomes over functions.

  • Operational Efficiency and Faster Time-to-Market – Scaled design processes and design systems, reducing time-to-market by over 30% in large-scale Enterprise SaaS with a modular platform strategy, design system implementation and improvements in team ways of working.

  • Talent Attraction, Employer Brand Building and Retention – Built and scaled teams in several European Enterprise SaaS teams; increasing design team efficiency and retention rates while establishing mentorship and growth programs.

  • Higher Customer Retention and Satisfaction – By focusing on user outcomes and jobs to be done, rather than an open-canvas approach to task completion, my team and I created seamless, engaging interactions that built loyalty by reducing user pains and reduced onboarding times by more than 75%.
